Edinburgh City FC Announce Aidan Wilson Signing
Edinburgh City is delighted to announce the loan signing of Aidan Wilson from Rangers.
Central defender Aidan has been at Rangers since the age of seven, making his first team debut in 2017 against Aberdeen. Since then he has had two loan spells with Dumbarton and Forfar Athletic, gaining Championship and League 1 experience.
Capped by Scotland at under 16s and 17s level, Aidan is currently on the way back from a serious injury and will look to build his fitness as part of the City first team squad.
On the news of Aidan’s signing, James McDonaugh commented: “I have been in close contact with Rangers and they have been fantastic to deal with when we signed Matthew Shiels and Aidan McAdams. When I heard Wilson was available I thought he would do well for us and add depth to an area of the team that we maybe lack a little competition. He will need to do well to break into the team though as we have defended extremely well in the last two matches. Aidan is recovering from injury right now so first we need to get him back to full fitness then it’s up to him to fight for the jersey.”
Welcome to #OurECFC Aidan!
