This week we travel to the Fountain of Youth Stadium to take on Premiership Hamilton Academical in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
OPPONENTS: hamilton academical
Brian Rice’s side have had a tough run in this season’s Premiership however a recent home win against Hearts has seen them open up a 5-point gap between themselves and the foot of the table. Having had a short winter break, Accies will be looking at a cup run to interrupt the relegation battle that they and several other teams are involved in. That said, their most recent match saw them victorious at Fir Park with David Moyo and Aaron McGowan the scorers in an impressive performance.
All admission will be payable at the gate.
Adult – £15
Concessions (over 65’s and under 18’s) – £10
Wheelchair – £10
Carer – Free of Charge
Ambulant – full price according to age
Our long-term absentees Andy Black, Aidan McAdams, Calum Antel and Robbie McIntyre remain on the sidelines. Otherwise the squad is likely to be similar to last week’s.
Hamilton will wear their traditional home colours of red and white hooped shirts, white shorts and socks. We will be in our alternate kit of gold shirts, black shorts and socks.
Given the disparity in our league positions, there is only one previous meeting in recent memory, which was back in August 2017 in the Challenge Cup. In fairness it was an Accies u20s side but they won 1-0 courtesy of an early penalty. Of the starting XI that evening only Calum Antell, Craig Thomson, Marc Laird and Calum Hall remain at the club.
