We welcome Cowdenbeath to Ainslie Park tomorrow in the SPFL League 2 tomorrow.

Gary Bollan’s Blue Brazil come into this game on the back of a consistently inconsistent run so far this season. They won two and lost two in the BetFred Cup, claiming the scalp of Raith Rovers at Starks Park. In the league, they have had a great 4-0 win against Berwick, had competitive games against Peterhead, Annan and Clyde, but struggled against Albion Rovers. The club has invested well in the summer with new signings including the experienced Jason Talbot and Kris Renton, alongside City old-boy Pat Scullion, so a return of five points from the opening six games will be a disappointment and they will be determined to kick start their season tomorrow at Ainslie Park.

Both teams are expected to play in their home colours tomorrow.

Entry at Ainslie Park as always will be £12 for adults, £6 for concessions with under 12s free with an accompanying adult; a cash gate will be in operation. Our half price offer for Hearts, Hibs and Spartans season ticket holders will be available tomorrow.

It’s very much a case of as you were in terms of squad news, with City able to call on the same squad that defeated Queen’s Park last weekend. On the injury front, Josh Walker has now had his knee operation but is unlikely to feature again until the new year. John Dunn has returned to light jogging but is probably 4-6 weeks away from returning whilst Brad Donaldson is awaiting a scan on his injured ankle.

We shared the spoils with Cowdenbeath last season, with two draws and a win apiece for the sides. The last game at Ainslie Park saw the teams play out a very physical 1-1 draw, with Graham Taylor cancelling out David Cox’ opener for the visitors; a similarly competitive encounter is on the cards tomorrow.
