For the second week running we face Championship opposition tomorrow when we meet Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the third round of the William Hill Scottish Cup.

OPPONENTS: inverness caledonian thistle

John Robertson’s men will arrive at Ainslie Park in the middle of an incredible 25 league matches unbeaten run, albeit this season they have had 10 draws from their 14 matches! The team boasts a number of players with Premiership experience and there’s no doubt a club of their stature sees itself as a top-flight club.

City will wear their home colours with black shorts and white socks, ICT are scheduled to wear their home kit too.

Admission prices for tomorrow’s match will be £12 for adults, £6 concessions; as always a cash gate will be open at Ainslie Park. Give the anticipation of a larger than normal crowd, we will have extra turnstiles open and supporters are advised to arrive at the ground in plenty time.

Our injury list still sees Josh Walker, John Dunn and Danny Handling all sitting out, however Brad Donaldson has joined them on the sidelines. On the plus side, Adam Watson is back in the squad having been cup-tied last time out.

This will be the first meeting of the clubs. Last week City recorded one of their all-time best results coming out on top against Alloa Athletic in the Irn-Bru Quarter Final; Alloa were the highest ranked side that we have beaten. ICT also recorded their own incredible comeback in their last outing, coming from three goals down against Queen of the South to preserve their unbeaten league run. The prize for the victors tomorrow is a home tie against East Kilbride, so it is all to play for!
