Edinburgh City FC is delighted to announce the signing of former Hibernian, Dundee, Queen of the South and Falkirk player Alex Harris from York City.

Alex has great experience in both the SPFL Premiership and Championship and news of his signing is sure to get the supporters excited for the season ahead.

The Edinburgh-born winger is another well-known to manager James McDonaugh, as well as having been a former teammate of Danny Handling. The pair combined to fire Hibernian to the Scottish Cup Final in 2013, with Alex scoring one and making another as the Easter Road men overcame a 3-0 deficit to win 4-3 over Falkirk.

James added: “Alex will be an exciting player for us next season. He is a player who I have enormous belief in and I am excited about what he will bring to an already talented group.”

The signing of Alex is another show of intent from the club, with the 2019/2020 season sure to be an exciting campaign.
