Edinburgh City Women – Open recruitment evening
At Edinburgh City FC Women, our “Player Recruitment” philosophy is to provide opportunities to players who show the right attitude and commitment to their football.
Players born on or before 31st December 2004 are eligible to play in the Championship South League next season, which is the league Edinburgh City FC Women have affiliated to for 2020 and with the right attitude, you are never too old. This is a Performance League where performance and results matter. Edinburgh City FC Women are committed to helping to improve Scottish Women’s Football by giving more opportunities to play football in Scotland at a competitive level.
We have 10 outfield positions, 1 goalkeeping position, 6 outfield substitute positions and 1 substitute goalkeeping position to fill every time we play. Up to 16 players are eligible to play throughout any match; 11 starters and 5 substitutes from 7.
If you have ever thought:
“I wonder what if I hadn’t given up?…….”
“I miss my football…..””I think I deserve more game time than I am getting.”
“I am not too old to play football at a competitive level.”
“I am not too young to play at Women’s level!”
then there may be an opportunity for you to thrive and develop your football talents with us and make one of these positions YOURS!
If that is the case, then we want to hear from you!
Tonight, Wednesday 8 January, we are having an open recruitment evening in the Chapman Suite at Oriam Performance Centre, Heriot Watt University, between 19:00 and 20:00; anyone who is interested is more than welcome!
