Coming up this Saturday, Edinburgh City face bottom of the league Brechin City. Having not won a game since the middle of December, Brechin could be the perfect opponent for the Citizens who will be hoping to continue their title challenge after last week’s bitterly disappointing loss to Cove Rangers.

The past two meetings between the sides have ended in narrow victories for McDonaugh’s men. However, despite the disparity between the two sides this season, there will be no margin for error or liberties taken. After all, it was not too long ago that Brechin were battling it out in the Scottish Championship and they will not be going out of the league without a fight.

Nevertheless, City will be confident of a 3rd victory over their opponents this season. Since the two sides met back in the beginning of November, Brechin have managed only 8 points from a possible 39 on offer, discarding two postponements. Compare that with City’s 28 points, there will be a hopeful and expectant atmosphere at Ainslie Park of another 3 points.
