The club is obviously disappointed with the recent suspension of senior football training which follows two high profile breaches of COVID-19 protocol by Premiership teams.
As a result it will now be 24th August at the earliest before we can return to training – hopefully that date will be confirmed on Thursday 20th August by the Scottish Government.
The delay is frustrating however we recognise the difficulties that the pandemic causes not just football but all areas of society. Decisions made in real-time are sometimes tough to call however we would hope that this is just a minor bump in the road back to normality. As a club we are prepared and ready to get back training with all the relevant protocols in place.
In the meantime and in preparation for (fingers’ crossed) fans returning to lower league grounds at some point, we have a new batch of face masks available from our friends at Get Shirty Edinburgh. These are available from our website by clicking here, we will donating a percentage of all sales to a local charity – details of which will be announced shortly!
In the meantime please take care and stay safe; we hope to see you back at Ainslie Park as soon as we possibly can.
