Jamie Dishington Signs on Loan

Edinburgh City can confirm that a busy and momentous day has ended with a last-minute loan signing of forward player Jamie Dishington.

Attacking midfielder Jamie, previously enjoyed a spell at Ainslie Park with Spartans, most recently was on the books of East Stirlingshire and he becomes our second loan capture from The Shire, with his former team mate Jordan Tapping having signed only hours earlier.

Manager Gary Naysmith commented:

After a very eventful day, I can confirm that Jamie Dishington has become our last signing of the season after joining us on loan from East Stirling. Previously part of the Spartans team that won the lowland league, Jamie is a young versatile attacking player who has good energy and an eye for goal. Just like Jordan Tapping however, he will be a little behind the rest of our squad in terms of match fitness and that is something we will look to address in the coming weeks. Both Jordan and Jamie will be unavailable for Saturday’s game as they are both cup-tied.”

Jamie spoke to ECFCTV and had this to say on his signing:

“I’m looking forward to getting back involved after a very stop-start season. When I heard there was interest I couldn’t turn the opportunity down. I’m delighted to have signed for such an ambitious club and hopefully I can play a part in their promotion push and test myself at this level.”

Welcome to Edinburgh City Jamie!
