Ouzy See Extends Contract

Edinburgh City FC are delighted to confirm that frontman Ouzy See has extended his contract by signing an extended deal through until the end of season 2022/23.

Now in his second spell with the club having had spells with Forfar, Berwick Rangers and most recently Albion Rovers, Ouzy has been in terrific form especially since football returned in March, scoring four times since the restart including a brace against his former side Rovers  at the end of March. Aside from his goal threat, Ouzy has shown terrific movement and led the line superbly and manger Gary Naysmith had this to say on the news of his new contract:

I am delighted that Ouzy has agreed terms to extend his stay at Edinburgh City. Since we arrived at the club, his performances have been very consistent, and he thoroughly deserves his new deal. Ouzy is someone who I rate highly, and he knows that, but he is also well aware that there are so many aspects of his game that he still needs to work on and improve and that is exactly what we will be doing with him throughout his stay at the club. However, he has a lot of attributes that you would want in a striker and as long as he keeps learning, improving and working hard, he will be a valuable asset to the club as we move forward.”

Ouzy, clearly delighted at staying with the club for an additional two years commented:

“I’m delighted to be offered and to sign a two-year contract extension at such an ambitious club and I can’t wait to work hard and improve under the likes of Gary Naysmith and Grant Murray and I’m thankful to the board for the opportunity that suits both parties. There’s not another club I would like to see succeed more than Edinburgh City and I’m glad I’ve been given the chance to be a part of the journey.”

Here’s to the next two years Ouzy!
